Jesse Lee Kriesel was born on August 25, 1980, in Grand Island, Nebraska to Randy and Paula (LaScala) Kreisel. He grew up in Spencer, Aurelia, Sioux Rapids areas in Iowa and graduated from Sioux Rapids in 1999. Jesse went on to attend classes at Western Iowa Tech. He was united in marriage to Lacey Barry on August 22, 2009, at the Logan Christian Church. They were blessed with three boys Jaxen, Hayden and Paxton. He worked at NatureWorks in Blair, Nebraska.
Jesse was a huge fan of the New York Giants, sharing his enthusiasm during game days with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching UFC events and WWE. Although he went mushroom hunting, Jesse most of all enjoyed eating the mushrooms. He liked grilling and smoking meats and trying new foods and drinks. His family and friends looked forward to the Superbowl parties he threw at the house. Jesse would tell you he was deathly allergic cats, but his three constant companions, Oreo, Samuel and Shirley, stayed close to him, especially after his cancer diagnosis. Jesse's hobbies included phone and video gaming (Clash and Zelda), music and fishing. Above all, Jesse treasured the time spent with his family and friends and enjoyed sharing stories of his younger years.
Jesse died on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 45 years, three months and 18 days.
Jesse was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Rhea; aunt, Teresa Mesenbrink; and grandparents, Gus and Pauline LaScala and Dick Kreisel. He is survived by his wife, Lacey Kreisel of Logan; sons, Jaxen, Hayden and Paxton; father, Randy (Pati) Kreisel; brother, Cory (Katlyn) Kreisel; sister, Savannah (Josh) Kreisel; grandmother, Marilyn Kreisel; Lacey’s parents, Diane (Rod) Meeker and David Barry; and many other relatives and friends.
