Jesse Vizuet Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Passalacqua Funeral Chapel on Dec. 12, 2025.
Jesse Vizuet passed away peacefully at his home in Benicia, California, on Thursday, December 11, 2025. He was 75 years old.

Jesse was born on April 16, 1950, in French Camp, California. He was a proud graduate of Benicia High School, Class of 1968, and remained deeply connected to the Benicia community throughout his life.

Following high school, Jesse served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he dedicated more than 25 years of his professional life as a machinist at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, working for the United States government. He was also a proud member of the local carpenters union, reflecting his lifelong appreciation for skilled trades and hands-on work.

Jesse had a natural talent for working with his hands and especially enjoyed working on cars and tackling mechanical projects. In his quieter moments, he could often be found reading National Geographic and Popular Mechanics, watching war movies, or tuning into the History Channel. Those who knew him well also knew of his fondness for sweets, which he always enjoyed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tien Vizuet; his two sons, Jesse Vizuet Jr. (Michelle) and Hoang Vizuet; his sisters, Margaret Vizuet and Ann Harper; and his brothers, Leo, Salvador, Daniel, and Ernesto Vizuet. He was a proud grandfather to Aiden and Brendan, who brought him great joy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pasalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 West 2nd Street, Benicia, California. A memorial service with military honors will take place the same day at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will follow at St. Dominic's Cemetery in Benicia at a later date.

Jesse will be remembered for his dedication to family, his strong work ethic, his service to his country, and his enduring presence in the Benicia community.
