Jessica Green, age 33, Scott Township and Honesdale, died June 22, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar-Crest, Allentown after a courageous battle with cancer for the last 7 months. Her soulmate for over 15 years and her fiancé was Jeffrey McLaine.
Jessica was born April 11, 1992, in Stroudsburg, and was the daughter of Timothy Green, Kunkletown and Angela Suarez, Effort. She was educated in the Pleasant Valley School District, Brodheadsville. She was the manager of Paulie’s Hot Dogs, Honesdale.
Jessica Green was a thoughtful, caring, mother with a passion for adventure. Jessica met Jeffrey going for a hike at Ringing Rocks State Park and their relationship grew from there.
Jessica made sure Gabriel knew her love every day and it showed in how he expressed it in return to others. For a young boy with all the energy and strength possible, he chose to be gentle, kind and caring to those around him. She valued key close friendships, honesty and kindness. After losing Gabriel she was distraught and those key friendships that grew really helped her find a place in the world again. Jess, along with Jeff & her friends made some truly memorable moments together with her, from summer river trips to big beach trips to the Outer Banks. She was Loved.
Also surviving, her Grandmother Nancy Green, Gilbert; a sister Cheyenne Nemeth, Effort; two brothers Nicholas Kolek and James Nemeth, Jr; her fiancé's parents Judy Rabel-McLaine, Scott Township and James McLaine, Dunmore, aunts uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son Gabriel McLaine, who died April 11, 2020.
The funeral will be Monday, June 30th with a blessing service at 12 noon at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation services, Inc. 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, 10 am to service time. Internment, Valley View Memorial Park, Scott Twp.
Jeffrey would like to express sincere appreciation for everyone’s support during Jessica’s illness and to those who have or who are planning to donate to Jessica’s GoFundMe to assist with end-of-life expenses during her illness.
