Jessica Michelle “Jessi” Remmenga, age 49 of Kaukauna, passed away on Friday March 14, 2025 unexpectedly. Mrs. Remmenga was born on October 7, 1975 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Jere and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Joosten) Gooding. She graduated from Menasha High School, Class of 1994 and married Jon Remmenga in 1998. The couple resided in Kaukauna, Wisconsin for the majority of their marriage. She was employed with Humana working on Claims Review from her home. Jessi loved reading, watching TV shows and going to movies with Jon, as well as cooking for friends and family. She also loved camping and her time in the Girl Scouts, both as a member and a troop leader. She was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary Site where she taught religious education for 10 years.
Jessica will be sadly missed by her husband of 26 years, Jon Remmenga, 4 children, Emily, Grace, Madalyn and Tucker, her father Jere Gooding of Appleton, 3 siblings: Venessa Gooding of Appleton, Samantha Gooding of Appleton and Jim Gooding of Appleton as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline, her maternal grandmother Marion Hurley, and Jon’s parents, Ralph and Mary Ann Remmenga.
There will be a funeral Mass for Jessica on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary site with Fr. Luke Ferris officiating. There will be a visitation on Thursday March 20, 2025 at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Fargo Chapel of Kaukauna from 4;00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until Mass begins. Interment will be at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery of Kaukauna.
The family would like to thank Jazmine from ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of Appleton for the care given to Jessi and her family.
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.
