It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Jessie B McKnight, who was born on November 14, 1961 in Jonestown, MS, USA, and passed away on September 20, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, where he had resided for 45 years. Jessie was a charismatic soul who could light up any room with his humor and wit. He had an infectious sense of humor that could uplift anyone's spirits, and a loving heart. He never got married but was adored by many. His love for fishing and playing cards was well known among his friends and family, if he could have his way he would be found by the river with a fishing rod in one hand and a deck of cards in the other.

Famed humorist Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started". Jessie truly embodied this spirit, Often using his wit and charm. Jessie was not only funny but also a loving father, brother, and uncle who cherished his family and friends.

Jessie is survived by his Children, Marlene Williams, Angel (Athena) Fells, Richard (Jaye) Clark, Shayna McKnight, Sharonda McKnight, and Alliyah McKnight. His sisters Lucille Howard, Mary McKnight, Jimmie and Viola Booker. 14+ Grand children and 4 Great Grands. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Idella McKnight, his daughter Angela McKnight, his sisters Susie May, Pearline, Minnie, Nellie, Rose, and his brothers James JR, Freddie B, and General B.
