Jessie Nieto, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Victoria, Texas. He was born on October 15, 1934, in Guadalupe, Texas, to the late Maximo Nieto and Agapita Lopez Nieto.
He is survived by his children Mona Canales (Andres) of Victoria, Michelle Morin (Jeffrey Sr.) of Victoria, Johnny Nieto (Melissa) of Victoria, brothers Harry Nieto (Liz) of Cuero, Pete Nieto of Victoria, Morris Nieto of Lockhart, and Julian Nieto of Round Rock. Jessie is also survived by his beloved 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Jessie is preceded in death by his beloved wife Leonila "Lee" Valenzuela Nieto, his parents, his son Albert Nieto, and his sister Sophia Luna along with his granddaughter Amanda Canales and great granddaughter Marlee Canales Cavazos
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, beginning at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, with a Rosary to be recited at 12pm with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1pm.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Morin Sr., Jeff Morin Jr., Cody Garcia, Xavier Garcia, David Nieto, and Christopher Nieto. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Nieto, Harry Nieto, Morris Nieto, Julian Nieto, Jesse Montelongo, Anthony Morin, and Alonzo De Los Santos.
