Jessie spent many joyful years in Duson, where he cherished his time with family and friends.
Jessie was known for his vibrant spirit and his genuine love for meeting new people. He found joy in helping his family, particularly with their horses, and often looked forward to his outings at the race track, where he placed his bets on his favorite horse, usually the number one. An avid fan of game shows, he enjoyed tuning in to "The Price is Right" and "Press Your Luck" on the Game Show Network. Jessie's fascination with helicopters led to a memorable experience he loved to share - the story of his ride in one, which he recounted with enthusiasm to anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his brother, Lynn (Patricia) Thibodeaux; sister, Brenda Thibodeaux; nieces and nephews, Rosanna Schexnider, Lynn (Shannon) Thibodeaux, Jr., Rani (David) Anderson, Lea Schexnider, Lauren Schexnider, Patrick (Myra) Thibodeaux, Ryan Thibodeaux and Joe Thibodeaux; great niece and nephew Eaven Lee Thibodeaux and Evan Thibodeaux and many more family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mae Thibodeaux; sister, Barbara Landry; brother, Leroy (Velma) Thibodeaux; and his close friend, David Singleton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Thibodeaux, Joe Thibodeaux, Ryan Thibodeaux, Trevor Babin, David Anderson and Lynn Thibodeaux, Jr.
