Jesus dedicated his life to his family and surrounded himself with the people he loved most. Throughout his life, he worked many different jobs, but his favorite was being a chef. Cooking was his passion and his happy place—his food brought joy and comfort to everyone around him. He held a deep love for California, where he created so many wonderful memories.
Jesus was also a talented artist. When he was younger, he spent his free time drawing, losing himself in his sketches that reflected his creativity and calm spirit. Music was another big part of his life. He loved cruising around with his friends and family, windows down, showing off his sound system for everyone to hear. Those drives, filled with laughter and good music, were some of his happiest moments.
He took great pride in his interests and hobbies. As a devoted fan of Dragon Ball Z, Jesus especially admired the character Trunks. He loved quoting his favorite shows and had his own signature phrases that made everyone smile—like “come sebo.” He could recite nearly every episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Saved by the Bell, and his enthusiasm always lit up the room. His humor, passion, and energy made him truly unforgettable.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Yazmin Romero-Pacheco, with whom he shared four beautiful years of marriage, and by his beloved son, Angel Aaron Tapia, whom he dedicated his life to making every moment count, loving and supporting. He is also deeply mourned by his mother, Maria Guadalupe Tapia; and his three sisters, Gaby Navarro, Giselle Navarro, and Patty Peralta. Jesus was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews who will forever miss his laughter, his kindness, and his big heart.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Luis Felipe Cerda Tapia. Though he is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing that the two of them are together again—watching over their family, making sure everything is okay, and smiling down with love.
