Jesus Jose Holguin, born on August 25, 1946, in Mexico, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Ballinger, Texas.
Jesus was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His warm presence and unwavering support left an indelible mark on his family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Francisca Villalobos Hernandez, his children Jesse Holguin and wife Jan of Odessa, Texas, Chris Holguin of Alpine, Texas, Joey Holguin and wife Deborah of Andrews, Texas, and Anita Ortega and husband Noel of Big Spring, Texas, Gloria Martin and husband Doug of Ballinger, Texas, and his step-children Mauricio Hernandez and wife Blanca of Mexico, Frank Hernandez and wife Alice of Andrews, Bertha Meza and husband Isidro of El Paso, Texas, Matilde Olivas and husband Joe of Andrews, Texas, and Michael Hernandez and wife Carime of Andrews, Texas. He was a cherished brother to Brijido Holguin of Pecos, Texas, Manuel Holguin of Pecos, Texas, Francis Sanchez of Midland, Texas, Maria Rosario Zauala of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Socorro Munoz of San Angelo, Texas. His joy was multiplied by his twenty-seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Jesus is now reunited in peace with his parents, Brijido Holguin and Nolberta Galindo, who preceded him in death. The values they instilled in him were evident in the way he lived his life with integrity and kindness.
Throughout his life, Jesus was a pillar of his community and a devoted Catholic. He found solace and purpose in his faith and fellowship as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews, Texas. His commitment to his faith was mirrored in his dedication to his work. Jesus was a respected employee at DNS oilfield services where he worked diligently for twenty-one years before his well-deserved retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, at any time.
Jesus's interests were as rich and varied as his life. He had an unquenchable zest for exploration and adored traveling to visit new places and to connect with family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was a trip to the casino, watching his favorite wrestling matches and western films, or caring for his beloved goats and chickens. His happiest moments, though, were those spent with his wife Francisca, especially during their cherished weekly Friday night date nights. For Jesus, the source of his happiness and strength was always his family.
Throughout his life, Jesus touched the hearts of many with his generosity, his laughter, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. He will be remembered as a man who built a legacy of love, hard work, and family. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to live on in the memories of those who had the privilege to know him.
As we bid farewell to Jesus Jose Holguin, we celebrate a life well-lived and well-loved. His journey on Earth may have come to an end, but his story will be told for generations to come. Jesus's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, faith, and family. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us all.
