Kimberly Kay Sears, lovingly known as Kim, left us on October 14, 2025, in her cherished home in Andrews, Texas, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on December 16, 1963, in Odessa, Texas, she brought light and joy to everyone she encountered.

Kim was a proud graduate of Andrews High School, where she stood out as a flag girl, embodying the spirit and enthusiasm that would come to characterize her life. She touched many lives through her work doing nails, a career that allowed her to connect with others in meaningful ways, creating beauty and confidence for her clients.

Her love for family and life was immeasurable. Kim cherished her husband of 44 years, Larry Sears, with whom she shared countless adventures, laughter, and love. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their daughters Paige Derington (and her husband Jay Derington), and Ashley Sears, and their son Josh Sears. Kim delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren—Taylor Sears, Clay Derington, and Zereniti Sears and Noah Sears—joyfully chasing after them, always with a smile on her face. She also held a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly and celebrated as part of her family.

Kim's heart was warm and welcoming, and her sisters, Sandy Lopata (husband Warren) and Nancy May (husband Max), who held a special place in her life. The bonds of family were her treasure, and each relationship was nurtured with love and care.

Known for her love of shopping and getting her nails done, Kim radiated positivity and brought happiness into the lives of those around her. Her kindness leaves a void that will never be filled, yet her spirit lives on in the memories we cherish and the love that surrounds us all. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of joy, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire and guide us.

In her final days, Kim was surrounded by the love of her family, creating a comforting atmosphere that spoke to her strength and the support she always offered others. The family extends profound gratitude to Beehive Homes of Andrews, Home Hospice, and a special thanks to Mrs. Martha Collins, Daphne and Jared Rogers, and Mallorie Kitchens. Their compassion and care were invaluable during this difficult time, and they appreciate all who stood beside Kimberly in her last moments.

Visitation will be held at the Andrews Corgill Funeral Home on October 18 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, and again on October 19 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will honor her life at the Second Baptist Church on October 20, beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at the Andrews County North Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Though her physical presence will be profoundly missed, Kim's spirit, love, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
