Jesus Muñoz Marquez
Jesus Muñoz Marquez passed on October 18, 2023 in Roswell, NM at the age of 84. Jesus was born on June 16, 1939 to Jose Marquez and Consuelo Muñoz in Madera, Chihuahua. Jesus worked for Policia Federal en Chihuahua, Chih; Ferrocarrilero en La Junta, Chih; Truck driver for Schrimcher Brothers and retired with Jimmy Montoya Trucking. He loved spending time with all his grandkids, his love and affection was deep he would always ask…”Como estan mis lepes?”
He loved to go fishing and taking walks, you would always catch him whistling. He always enjoyed visiting friends or friends visiting him, listening to music and singing along. When asked about his younger days, he always had a story to share. He also loved taking trips to Mexico to visit the family.
Jesus is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Orona Marquez; brothers, Santos Marquez, Ramon Marquez, Rafael Marquez, and Ruperto Marquez and sister Ventura Marquez.
Those left to remember Jesus are his son Jose Marquez of Roswell, NM; daughter Rosa Marquez of Roswell, NM; brother Alvaro Marquez of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, and Jose Marquez of Juarez, Chihuahua; sisters Irma Zubia of Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua and Adelaida Zubia of Chihuahua, Chihuahua; 9 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Those serving as pallbearers are Julio Ly, Jesus Aguallo, Jose Cardenas, George Cardenas, Alex Ly, Hector Ornelas and Carlos Aguallo.
A special thank you to Jorge & Bertha Larios, Rosalia Bravo, Tekiesha Fauntleroy, to all the staff and nurses at Mission Arch and Gentiva Hospice.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Monday, October 30, 2023 at Ballard Funeral Home with graveside services being held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at South Park Cemetery.
