MR. JETHRO EARL BARRETT

Funeral services for Mr. Jethro Barrett will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Herbert Baptist Church with Rev. Len Wedgeworth and Rev. Brad Winstead officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM – 11 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Herbert Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Barrett, 84, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his home. He lived in Neshoba County most of his life and worked offshore in the oil industry. He was a member of Herbert Baptist Church, and his hobbies were gardening, whittling and watching westerns. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Zona Key Barrett; daughter, Gloria Gilbert; brothers, Donell, Robert Keith and Charles "Chuck" Barrett; granddaughter, Angel Anderson. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruby Kate Barrett of Union; daughters, Kimberly Borg (Ricky) of Philadelphia, Tracey Barrett wright (Joshua) of Union, Vickie Hamilton of Leake Co.; son, Jerry Elton Barrett (Lynn) of Philadelphia; sister, Roma Barrett of VA; (2) grandchildren, Josh Barrett and Emmett Wright; and loved by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Colby Breazeale, John Breazeale, Jonathan Grice, Randy Anderson, Kevin Belk. Honorary pallbearer is Randy Flake. The family would like to thank ACG Hospice.
