Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Homes and Cremations - OshkoshJill Ream, 46, of Gering, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Trails West (1918 S Beltline Hwy West, Scottsbluff). Please dress casual and bring a potluck dish and any photos or memories you would like to share with Jill’s children.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Ream family.
Jill LaDawn Ream was born April 7, 1979, to Lloyd “Pud” and Bernadine “Bunny” (Lathan) Ream in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The youngest of 8. She grew up and attended school in Morrill graduating in 1997 with honors. She was always at the top of their class.
After high school she worked various retail jobs in Scottsbluff, North Platte and Kearney until her health forced her to quit.
The best part of her life was her children, Jenna and Jaxson. She loved her miracle children. They will be raised by their father, Curt Kohl.
She had a great sense of humor, was an avid Stephen King reader, loved Halloween time, and WWE wrestling. She had an enormous collection of DVDs and CDs enjoying all forms of entertainment.
Jill is survived by her children, Jennasis (14) and Jaxson (10) of Gering; sisters, Melody (Bruce) Landen of Bridgeport; Shawn Hays (Eric Kemsley) of Minatare; Monica Ream of Scottsbluff; Justin Ream of Scottsbluff; and her best friend, Joshua Ream of Scottsbluff; 2 aunts Patricia Ream and Margaret Ream; special cat, Jelly Bean; many nieces and nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shannon and Harmony; friend, Chris Lutz.
