Jill Waddles Ward of Hayes died at her home surrounded by family on Monday, June 23, 2025. She was 51. Jill graduated from Gloucester High School, class of '91, and Averett University in 1995. She was a substitute teacher with Gloucester County Public Schools and a preschool teacher at Petsworth Baptist Church. An active member of Providence Baptist Church and a strong woman of faith, who loved teaching Sunday School. Going to the movies and out to eat with the girls or crafting with her church family was another favorite pastime. Mother, Linda Curfman Waddles, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Mark Ward, children Trenton, Elaina and Andrew; father Jackie Waddles, Brother Keith Waddles (Heather), Mother and Father-in-law, Cindy and Byrd Ward, Sister-in-law Angie Denson (Jeff), Brother-in-law Lloyd Ward (Kim), nieces and nephews Noah, Jackson, Emily, Jessica, Justin, Jacob and Josh; great nephew Oliver and great niece Elsie. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor Nate Varnadore and Pastor Tom Gaskins will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church, followed by inurnment in the church cemeteryservices under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
