Jillian Threadgill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Egizi Funeral Home on Mar. 7, 2025.
Dr. Jillian Angell Threadgill
A compassionate soul dedicated to making the world better than she found it, unexpectedly passed away March 6, 2025.
Born September 21, 1982, in Rochester, NY, Jillian's life was a testament to her deep commitment to alleviating suffering and making a positive impact on all those with whom she came in contact. Growing up in upstate New York, Jillian attended New Hartford High School before embarking on a path of higher education that reflected her deep-seated desire to serve. She began her studies in Sociology at Ithaca College (2000-2002) and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of West Florida in 2004. Her passion led her to the University of Alabama, where she received her Master of Social Work degree in 2005, and ultimately to Immaculata University, where she earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2015.
Dr. Threadgill was a gifted and dedicated psychologist. Her professional interests were extensive, including OCD, trauma, suicide, crisis intervention, substance abuse, mood disorders, and specialized work with veteran populations and graduate student parents. She also served as the Secretary of the New Jersey College Counseling Association, demonstrating her commitment to college mental health. Her empathy extended to all beings, and she consistently sought to help and support anyone experiencing hardship, whether in her professional capacity, within her family, or among her friends. Jillian also possessed a lifelong love for animals, rescuing and caring for them throughout her life.
Jillian is survived by her parents, Carolee and Norman Angell. Her devoted husband, Marcus Threadgill. Her four children, Josh, Amber, Madison, and Alexandra. Her sister Kelsey Angell, brother Matthew Angell, sister-law's Michele Angell and Jenni Earp. Nieces and Nephews Ally, Ryan, Tyler, Hunter, and Morgan. An uncountable amount of those she called Friend.
Jillian's spirit is expressed in the words she held close and capture both her depth and wit. From the humorous observation in the show "Frasier" – "She needs the type of job where if she burns the building down, they will apologize to her for making the building so flammable" – to the inspirational reminder "Not all battles are fought with a sword."
Jillian's legacy of compassion, dedication, sense of humor, and steadfast support will continue to inspire all who knew her. Jillian left an impact on all those lucky enough to have crossed her path. She will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. At 2:00 pm there will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers and love offered by her family and friends.
In honor of Jillian's life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, her family would encourage donations be made to the Gloucester County Humane Society.
