Jim R. Cooperider

Jim R. Cooperider, 83, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Jim was born on September 7, 1940 in Akron, Ohio the son of the late Robert Cooperider and Margaret Dominic. Jim was a resident of Massillon, Ohio for the last 52 years. Jim retired from Giant Eagle as a Meat Department Manager after 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer, car enthusiast and a dog lover.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Cooperider with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; children, Rick (Debbie) Cooperider, Jim (Jill) Cooperider, and Sue (Tim) Marceric; grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Jimmy, Michael and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Ayden, Micah, Emmaline and Wyatt; and his best four legged buddies, Suzie and Sammy Jo.
A private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
