Jim Garrison, born on January 6, 1932, in Devonia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, in Florida, at the age of 93. A devoted family man, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Jim dedicated many years of his life to Mosler Safe Company, where he made lasting friendships throughout his career. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service. His commitment to his fellow veterans continued with his lifelong membership in the VFW post 7670 until its closing.

He is survived by his children: Joyce Chandler, James Bo and Sharon Garrison, and Lucy Lakes. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Keith Saunders, Kellie (Ryan) Andrews, Casey (Amanda) Garrison, Dustin (Sara) Saunders, Shawn (Liz) Garrison, Jillian Garrison (fiancée Ryan Taulbee), Rocky (Meghan) Moore, Jennifer Milan, Sydnie Rutherford, Seth Rutherford, Niccole Lakes and her father Kevin Lakes, Gavin Isaacs, James Randall Gill, Charlie Saunders, Brystin Garrison, Thomas Saunders, Rylan Andrews, Alyce Yaden, Payton Yaden, Jase Andrews, Karter Johnston, Kimber Johnston, Lilah Badics, Maximus Moore, Adeline Milan, and Austin and Rodney Garrison. Jim is also survived by his sister Lola Napier and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Jim was proud of his family and took great joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for gardening and memorable moments spent with his grandchildren often included paying them 50 cents for their days of labor. Jim had a notable fondness for the color burnt orange, painting his vehicle and mailbox in this hue, provoking many laughs among his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bargaining at flea markets, as well as feeding those who came to visit him, frequently treating them to meals at his favorite breakfast spots. He also had a special place in his heart for Little Debbies, always ready for a sweet snack.

Jim was predeceased by his son, Randall (Katrina) Garrison; granddaughter, Tara Lakes; son-in-law, Charlie Saunders; and the mother of his children, Wilma Garrison. He also mourned the loss of his siblings: Thelma Middleton, Ethel Taylor, Vernie Henderson, Georgie Earl, Betty Garrison, Harold "Ralph" Garrison, Everett "Pedro" Garrison, Frank Garrison, Linda Schultz, and Jack Garrison.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on May 30, 2025, at the Michael J. Colligan Lodge in Hamilton, Ohio. The visitation begins at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Hickory Flats Cemetery at 12:15 PM.

Jim Garrison will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose zest for life enriched the lives of all who knew him. His laughter, kindness, and warmth will forever be missed.
