James William “Jim” Hood passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 1, 2024 while on vacation in Florida. He was born May 31, 1975 in Greenwood to Pamela Conner Lehman. Jim graduated from Saltillo High School in 1993. He and his wife, Lori, are owners of The Vinyl Hippie in Tupelo where they create graphic design for t-shirts. He worked at Weatherall Printing from 1992 - 2019 as a pressman and estimator. He was gifted in many areas, building projects and printing on his printing press. Jim was so kind, funny, extremely hard working, a great listener and would help anyone in need. He had the biggest heart and so much love to give. He loved his wife, family, friends and his pets very much. His love for God was important to him has he journeyed through life. Jim will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Lori Palmertree Hood of Saltillo; two daughters, Julia Grace Hood of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Isabella Marie Hood of Saltillo; his mother, Pamela Conner Lehman; a brother, Kevin Willing of Little Rock, Arkansas; his mother and father-in law, Lynn and Robert Palmertree; sisters-in-law, Angel White (Corey) and Terri Threadgill; brother-in-law, Buster Threadgill; five nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Jim’s family will celebrate his life with a time of visitation from 3 until 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Pegues in Tupelo.
