Jim Schnaudt April 12, 1948 - October 16, 2025.

Jim Schnaudt, age 77, passed away on October 16, 2025, after a brief and courageous health battle. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by Susan, Jason (Gina), Stephanie (Brian) and grandchildren (Addison, Jake, Brittany, Maddie and Brendan), his brother Jeff (Donna), and many relatives and friends.

He graduated from Franklin University with a BA degree in Accounting & Business where he retired from the State of Ohio.

He lived life to the fullest as a loving father, devoted grandfather and committed friend. He loved attending the grandkids sporting and school events. He was a presence that will be missed. He was a devout Ohio State Football fan and a long-suffering fan of the Cleveland Browns. He loved the music by the Eagles. He loved to garden and grow his tomatoes and zucchini and would often make zucchini bread to take to his AA meeting. He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, which took him on many adventures with his friends.

He was a very proud member of AA and celebrated his 35th anniversary on April 30th. The program helped him change his life, which he never forgot. He was a sponsor and friend to hundreds of AA members, and he was able to help many friends within the program. He took great pride in helping people change their lives and will be missed by many in the group.

He was preceded in death by parents Thelma & Harold Schnaudt and his brother Edward Schnaudt.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim’s life during visitation on November 1, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231.

As Jim would want, please feel free to wear your best Ohio State, Cleveland Browns or Harley Davidson clothing.
