NINA NICOLE COFFMAN was born on April 13, 1982, in Columbus, Ohio, to Cheryl Towns and William Coffman. She passed away on September 18, 2025.
Nina grew up surrounded by the love of her family and shared a special bond with her siblings--Monica Coffman, Mikeyah Jones, William Coffman, Michael Coffman, and Brandon Coffman.
As a child, Nina was shy and reserved, but she carried a smile that could brighten even the darkest day. With time, her personality blossomed into a beautiful blend of warmth, kindness, and curiosity. Her favorite color was purple, she loved her 'tennis shoes' and she found joy in reading, cooking, and savoring Mexican food.
Nina loved to travel and had a deep passion for exploring new places. She journeyed extensively throughout the United States, always eager to sightsee and learn about the people, culture, and history of each destination. Though she delighted in capturing photos of her travels, family, and friends, she preferred to stay behind the camera rather than in front of it.
More than twenty years ago, Nina's life was forever changed when she met the love of her life, Bill Jenkins. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Their greatest joy was raising their daughter, Ny'ina, who brought endless light into their lives. Just six months ago, they were overjoyed to learn that their family would soon grow once more. With excitement and anticipation, Nina and Bill lovingly prepared for the arrival of their newest blessing, choosing to keep the baby's gender a surprise until birth.
Nina was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. She loved them deeply and gave her time and energy selflessly to ensure they were cared for and cherished. Her kindness reached beyond her home, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Even when faced with unkindness, Nina chose to see the good in people and treated everyone with compassion.
This same spirit of generosity guided her decision to become an organ donor. Even in her passing, Nina gave the gift of life, as her eyes and skin have helped others in need.
She attended Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio, and carried her education and life experiences with her in ways that shaped her into a woman of grace, resilience, and quiet strength.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving parents, Cheryl Towns and William Coffman; her devoted husband, Bill Jenkins; her children, Ny'ina Jenkins and Neison Anderson; and her siblings, Monica Coffman, Mikeyah Jones, William (Erin) Coffman, Michael Coffman, and Brandon Coffman. She will also be deeply missed by her special friends, Emmy Sampson, Damien Witherspoon, Ty Reggiens, and Antwaun Jenkins, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Patricia A. Ford; paternal grandfather, Robert W. Ford; paternal grandmother, Aleta Blake; mother-in-law, Peebles Jenkins; uncle Dwayne Ford, niece, Cherish Brown; nephew, Dakarii; and her unborn child, Baby Jenkins.
Nina's life was a testimony of love--for her family, for adventure, and for others. Her legacy of compassion, devotion, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Though her time on earth was far too short, the impact she made is eternal.
