James "Jim" Sheldon, born October 14, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan, passed away on July 18, 2025, at his home in Joplin, Missouri. A smart and creative individual, Jim was known for his ambitious nature and was a talented engineer in the Printing and Publishing industry. He was a man who held God, family, and his work in high regard, finding great satisfaction in his hobbies and profession. Before his successful career, Jim served in the US Navy, carrying his patriotism and sense of duty throughout his life.
Jim was previously widowed, by his wife of many years, Jeannie. He is survived by his children Diana McKenna, Bill Sheldon, Lara Triehy (Andrew) and Jonathan Ben-Ammi. Grandchildren, Katherine (Aldi) Airori, Aaron Triehy and Eitan Ben-Ammi. He is also survived by his brothers, Rick, Greg and Randy Sheldon, as well as his great-nephew, Randal Bashta. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille Sheldon, brother Chuck Sheldon and, Judith Potter, mother of the deceased children.
Jim, with his smart and ambitious nature, was a beacon of creativity and talent. He was a proud veteran, a committed worker, and a servant to his community. His life is a testament to his love for God, his country. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
