Jimmie Lee "Jim" Cummings, age 89, of Georgetown, Ohio, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 13, 2023 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.
He was born August 25, 1933 in Adams County, Ohio.
Jim was a United States Army Veteran, having proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Mowrystown American Legion Roy W. Wilson Post #0694 for 9 years and the Hillsboro Elks #361 for 62 years.
Surviving are his daughter, Monica Sue Schneider of Fairborn, granddaughter, Laura (Carey) Cook, 2 great-grandchildren, Cole Cook and Emma Cook.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Margaret (Holliday) and Bud Forseille, wife, Bonnie Cummings, and 2 brothers, Ed and Bill Cummings.
Jim's wishes were to be cremated and no service to be held.
Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown is serving the family.
In Jim's memory, contributions may be made to the Ohio Veterans Homes, 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, OH 45121.
