Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Jimmie Lynn Pool Greer was born in Corsicana, Texas to James and Odessa Pool on September 10, 1946. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2023, encircled in love by her family.
Jimmie was a beautiful person with a kindness matched only by her fierce loyalty and love for family. She had a unique talent for design and loved helping family and friends decorate their special places. Jimmie was always graceful, fashionable, and polished. For the past 19 years, she worked at Southern Automotive with co-workers who were more family than friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thad Greer; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Donny Anderson; and sister, Janie Landry (Ronnie). Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters who made her so proud, Bridget Jordan (Corey), Amber Smith (Mike), April Limon; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Cole, Kylie, MacKenzie, Zayden, Naveah, and Serenity.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel with Pastor Gary Boswell officiating. Interment will be at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport.
Honoring Jimmie as pallbearers will be Donny Anderson, Mike Smith, Murray Zachary, Corey Jordan, Robert Gray, and Terry Jenkins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Richard Austin and Ronnie Landry.
The family lovingly acknowledges the special care provided to Jimmie by her granddaughter, Amber Smith.
