Jimmie Lee Hoggatt, 65, of Troy, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025. Jim was born on June 7, 1960 in Terre Haute, IN to Elmer and Berniece Hoggatt. He was a 1978 graduate of Marshall High School. On Sept. 17, 1983 he married Linda Burt. He attended Eastern Illinois University. Jim enjoyed spartan races and running various races including a half marathon. He also enjoyed kayaking and biking with family member and friends and karoke. One thing he always remembered and shared stories about was when he went on a bike trip with Dennis Wright to Kentucky. Jim is survived by his wife, Linda and two sons, Eric Hoggatt of Glen Carbon, IL and Kyle (Caitlin) Hoggatt of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren Karmin Love and Bradley Hoggatt; his brother Paul (Laurie) Hoggatt of Marshall, IL; and two sisters Marilyn (Camie) Sanders of Marshall, IL and Robon Schoenbeck (Bob) of Arnold, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Besides his parents Jim is preceded in death by and brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Peggy Trudeau and a nephew Terry Sanders all from Marshall, IL. Jim was a member of Troy Methodist Church in Troy, IL. He retired as a Program Analyst from U.S. Bank. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. Memorials may be made to Esophageal Cancer Research-Siteman Cancer Center, 4500 Park Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110. Online condolences are being accepted at pearcefueralservices.com.
