Jimmie Ray Morgan Sr., 86, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2023. He was born on July 2, 1937, to parents, Floyd and Evelyn Morgan in Mart, Texas.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents; sister Martha (Bo) Davis and Paula Ann (Jim) Cummings.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Virginia L. Morgan of Ingleside on the Bay, Texas; children, Valencia (Terry) Moore of Aransas Pass, Texas, Jimmie Ray Morgan Jr. Of Ingleside, Texas, Darrell L. (Mary Ann) Morgan of Seadrift, Texas, and Dewayne L. (Masonya) Morgan of Aransas Pass, Texas; brother, Floyd (Janice) Morgan of Waco, Texas; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jimmie served our Country for 22 years in the U.S. Army and upon his retirement he later worked for Civil Service at Ingleside Homeport. Jimmie enjoyed bowling, gardening, casino gambling, and fishing.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Interment will be held at 1:45 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
