Jimmie Levoy Myers

Jimmie Levoy Myers passed away on February 10, 2024 peacefully at his home in Palestine, Texas at the age of 85, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Elkhart, Texas July 19, 1938 to John and Nina Myers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Johnnie Leroy Myers, sister Frances Myers Garner and niece Mollie Garner Warren.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Frances Starr Myers, son Jimmy and wife Lisa Myers of Elkhart, Texas, daughter Teresa Brown and husband Tracy of Bullard, Texas. Three grandchildren Jennifer Starr and Fiancé Justin Stevens of Palestine, Tad and Lacey Myers of Josephine, Texas, Bret and Brianna Myers of Avery, Texas.
Seven great grandchildren, Jadyn Banks, Taylor and Karlee Stevens, Levi and Addisyn Myers, Haelyn and Saylah Myers. Also, survived by Niece Kathy Starkey and husband Sandy, Steve Cubstead and Doug Frazier whom he shared a "Special Bond" with.
Mr. Myers was employed by Glass Containers until closing. He then worked at TDCJ Coffield Unit, back gate, known as "Pappy" until his retirement in 2000.

Celebration Of Life will be held February 24, 2024 at Southside Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas. Visitation will be from 1-2, with the service to follow.
