Funeral services for Jimmie Faye (Pierce) Smart, age 77, of Ratliff City, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Ratliff City Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Ratliff City Cemetery. The services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
Jimmie Faye was raised in the Graham area, where she attended school. On November 29, 1965, she married the late James Ray Smart in Wichita Falls, Texas. Throughout her life, Jimmie Faye worked at the Dollar General Warehouse, served as a bus driver for Fox Public School, and was a secretary for J. Paul Johnson. Most importantly, she was a devoted homemaker.
She had a passion for cooking and deeply cherished supporting her grandchildren in their various activities, including livestock shows and sporting events. Jimmie Faye also enjoyed going on vacations with her sisters, creating lasting memories with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Ray Smart; daughters Dana Hoggard and Terri Smart; sisters Beverly McClennahan and Linda Stewart; and a great-grandson, Malachi.
Jimmie Faye is survived by her son, Ray Smart and Jessica Waller; grandchildren Justin Smart and his wife Haley, Kyle Smart and his wife Baylee, Kent Smart and his wife Stacy, Brent Smart and his wife Monica, and Avery Hoggard; great-grandchildren Bentley, Cash, Bowen, Oakley, Lucca, Maverick, Major, Elijah, Taytum, Jackson, Carter, Addison, and Waylan; sisters Altena Thomas and her husband Bill, and Holly Brown and her husband Glen; numerous nieces and nephews; along with many other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will include Ray Smart, Justin Smart, Kyle Smart, Kent Smart, Sammy Hoggard, and Ricky Stewart. Honorary bearers are Brent Smart, Cary Dale Tivis, Brent Perkins, Pinkey Hurley, Nubbin McClennahan, Larry Smart, John Hankins, Cody Johnson and J. Brad Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.alexandergrayfh.com.
