JIMMIE WOLFE

Jackson, TN: Jimmie Eugene Wolfe age 91, passed away August 15, 2022 at Charter Assisted Living/Morningside in Jackson.

He was born February 13, 1931 in Cleveland, OH the son of the late Otto McKinley Wolfe and Ethel Emmons Wolfe Hayes. He grew up in Rumford, Maine. He married his first wife Aileen in 1953 and they made their home in Rumford and had two children.

He worked for Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Rumford for his entire career retiring as shift supervisor. After retirement they moved to Reagan, TN. Aileen passed away on July 19, 2001.
He married Susie Kirk on February 14, 2003 and they made their home in Selmer until 2017 when they moved to Jackson.

At the age of 72, he became a Christian, being baptized in 2003. He was a member of the Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer and later the North Jackson Church of Christ.

He loved music, singing, dancing, traveling, storytelling and working jigsaw puzzles.

Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife, Virginia ‘Susie’ Kirk Wolfe of Jackson; a son, James Russell Wolfe (Karen) of Buckfield, Maine; two stepsons, Benjamin Rex Lyon (Becky) of Dothan, AL and Joe Allen ‘Jody’ Lambert, Jr. of Pinson, TN; a daughter, Karen Wolfe Welsh (Roland) of Sardis, TN; three stepdaughters, Kathy Lynn Weston of Murfreesboro, TN, Lisa Luann Dasis (Steve) of Tampa, FL and Pam Lyon Whitnell (Bart) of Humboldt, TN; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Aileen, a sister, Lenora Beal and three brothers, John Wolfe, Robert Wolfe and Arthur Wolfe.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 19th at Shackelford Funeral Directors –Crook Avenue with Randy Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery at Ramer, TN.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM service time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in memory of Jimmie.
