Jimmie Lou Wright

Jimmie Lou Wright went to be with her Savior on January 12, 2025 at the age of 87. She was born October 6, 1937.
Jimmie Lou graduated from Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Mississippi where she made friends for life including Connie Barr, Carol Ann Dean, Nell Williams, Patsy Cates, June Pabst, and Carolyn Robinson.
Jimmie Lou graduated from Delta State University and earned a degree in education. She taught school for many years before moving to Knoxville, Tennessee where she served as Director of Corporate Sales during the 1982 Worlds Fair. Following the World's Fair, Jimmie Lou became a financial planner and worked in this field for more than 25 years before retiring as a partner in ATW LLC.
Jimmie Lou was a member of First Baptist Church of Concord. She was a devoted fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jimmy and Stella Killingsworth. Jimmie Lou was blessed to have married two wonderful men. Bobby Wright preceded her in 2008 and she is survived by James Hazzard, whom she married on her birthday in 2012.
She is also survived by daughter Anne Teasley of Knoxville and granddaughters Abby Teasley of Tampa, Florida and Amanda Teasley of Nashville, Tennessee; sons Jim Hazzard, Jr. of Springfield, MO, Curtis and Sarah Hazzard of Panama City, FL, Carl Hazzard of Bessemer, AL, Tim Hazzard of Greeneville, TN; best friends Carol Ann and Archie Dean of Maryville and Randy Tisdale who she loved as a brother.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Park Place Independent Living, Autumn Care Assisted Living and Smoky Mountain Hospice for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 11 - 12:30 pm at Click Funeral Home in Farragut TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alztennessee.org.
