Jimmy Ray Baggerly

Jimmy Ray Baggerly, was born March 5, 1942 to Marvin and Freeda Baggerly. He spent his
childhood years in Brinson, Georgia, Havana and Tallahassee Florida. He's a member of
the 1960 graduating class of Leon High School.
Jimmy married Ramona Ragan and they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage before her
passing earlier this year. They have two children, Theresa and Jonathan whom they were
extremely proud of. Jimmy developed a close relationship with Greg Vowell, and loved him
as a son and best friend.
He was honored to serve his country and enlisted in the US Army in 1966, serving active
duty in Fort Knox, KY. He continued with the US Army Reserves HHC 400th MP PW Cp of
Tallahassee, FL through 1972.
Jimmy started Baggerly Enterprises Painting and while possessing a strong work ethic
successfully ran the business from 1972-present. As a Paint Contractor he worked with
numerous builders and developers in our area.
Jimmy was member of Woodrun Baptist Church, where over the years, he served as a
deacon, B-Men director and RA leader. He lived his life for the Lord, and didn't allow his
flaws to hinder him from sharing the good news of God's word with others.
Jimmy's life hobby started as a child helping in his dad's garage - he became an avid Hot
Rodder. He had a passion for 1932-37 Ford trucks and cars. He developed life-long friends
through this shared interest and took great enjoyment in building and working on street
rods.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Theresa Lambert (Paul); son, Jonathan Baggerly
(Danielle); five grandchildren, Carter, Madie Rae and Hank Lambert, and Randi and Rachel
Baggerly; sisters, Evelyn Hudson (Willam H.), Elizabeth Nagle and brother, Kenneth
Baggerly (Martie) and niece, Salata Hudson.
