Rose Baggerly Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laurel Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Dec. 29, 2025.
Rose Marie Baggerly, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on 12/21/2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that touched everyone who knew her.
Born on 07/30/1957, she grew into a person whose warmth could fill any room. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, and her compassion extended to family, friends, and even strangers who crossed her path. Whether through her laughter, her generosity, or her unwavering support, she made the world gentler and brighter. Rose loved Jesus and did a lot of missionary work. She created a business called "Puppets with a Purpose." She took it to Sri Lanka on a missionary trip to cheer up children who had just lost their parents in a Tsunami. Although Alzheimer's slowly took her memory, she never forgot about that trip and always loved to tell the story. Rose never married and adopted 3 children to keep them in the family. She raised them on her own in a good Christian household. Her goal was to make sure they stayed with our family, knew they were loved, and always had a home. She would tell the boys "no matter what you do or don't do, no matter what you say or don't say, I will always love you." She meant that. Anyone who knew her knows her love came from the heart.
Rose is preceded in death by her father Charles Claude Baggerly, mother Alfreda Marlene Baggerly, siblings Charles Arthur Baggerly, Roy Lee Baggerly, Esther Marlene Baggerly, Eugene Baggerly, Alma Jane Baggerly and Carol Elaine Bryant as well as her niece Christine Rochelle Gamble-Baggerly. She is survived by her children, Lisa Alexandria Baggerly, Liam Sean Baggerly, and Ewan Phoenix Baggerly. Her siblings, Vivian Anne Frazier, Michael James Baggerly, and Diane Martha Allen as well as several nieces and nephews. We will forever cherish her memory and carry her spirit forward. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made will last a lifetime.
A celebration to honor her life will be scheduled at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express, but her love remains with us-steady, enduring, and unforgettable.
