Jimmy Boyter Obituary

A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, son of the late William Belton and Maude Hughes Boiter, he was a retired employee of ABF Motor Freight.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Sylvia Center Boyter of the home; three children, Rickey Boyter (Debra) of Duncan, South Carolina, Scotty Boyter of Duncan, South Carolina, and Richard Boyter (Denise) of Inman, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Bradley Boyter, Tiffany Yarborough, Ensley Crain, Jacob Boyter, James Boyter, Hannah Boyter, and Brooke Boyter; and two great-grandchildren, Christian Yarborough, and River Boyter.
Mr. Boyter was predeceased by two brothers, Belton Boiter and Charles Boiter; and one sister, Shirley Roper.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. October 13, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Dewayne Pruitt, Chaplain Bobby Gilbert, and Rev. Bryan Rainbow. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. October 13, 2023, at The Wood Mortuary.
The family will be at the home.
