We are here to celebrate the life of Jimmy K. Browder. He was born on January 21, 1953, to Paul and Hattie Browder. They were blessed with identical twins (Lyndell) being his twin.

Jimmy went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2025, after a lifetime of health problems.

Jimmy is survived by his 3 children, Jimmy, Joseph and Melissa, and 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way. In addition, he has left behind numerous siblings, nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.

He was born in Florence, Texas. The family moved to Holtville, Ca. when Jimmy was in the 2nd grade.

He loved family more than life itself. He tended to his family with much love, and many times had to balance this care with care for himself. His health was a problem from infancy. He had 2 kidney transplants, blood clots, cancer resulting in the loss of his vision, infections, auto-immune trouble, to name a few. He taught us how to face difficulties with no complaining. He was poked and probed and cut on so many times and yet when you asked him how he was, he very soon changed the conversation to how the questioner was.

He loved companionship, good food (he was actually a good cook), and he loved to argue. The Browders are known for their stubbornness.

Some of the things Jimmy enjoyed in his life were the sports he played in high school. He played baseball, basketball, and football. He was also interested in photography.

He loved horses and even had a horse of his own, and he liked leather work. He made a beautiful saddle as well as other smaller items.

Jimmy was a 4-H leader in his community, for many years. He was greatly appreciated by the children he led. He was also involved in the Chamber of Commerce trying to improve the town in which he lived.

His great love, though, was serving the Lord of his salvation. He served as a Sunday School teacher, and an Awana leader. The 4 and 5 year olds called him Mr. Jimmy. They adored him. He was a part of the men's ministry, also.

Jimmy was proud of his children's successes. Joseph got his bachelor's degree in business management and works for Boeing in Washington. Jimmy got his bachelor's degree in criminal justice and works for Human Services in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

One final little story. Two days before he passed, he told us how he had his first kiss. This beautiful little girl in the fourth grade caught his eye so he kissed her, She ran away and he wasn't for sure if it was him or her. When the story was related to her later in the day, she confirmed it happened but she recalled him running away.

Jimmy, "Bubba" as the older siblings called him and his family will miss him. It is hard to say goodbye. Jimmy is with the Lord and if you want to see him again, make sure you, too, trust in Jesus as your Savior.
