Onis Lenell Browder, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love. Born on February 27, 1928, in Huttig, Arkansas, to John Robert Dollar and Myrley Grey Halley, Lenell lived a life marked by warmth, service, and a devotion to her family and community.
Lenell was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings; spouses W.L. Browder, Robert "Bob" Pinckard, and Eugene Lawrence; children Jerry Lawrence Mock, Johnny Lawrence, Donald Ray Lawrence, and Robert Arnold Lawrence; grandchildren Adam Fife and Michael Earnst; and great-grandchild Amber Mock.
She is survived by her siblings Harvey Dollar (Nong) and John A. Dollar (Jencie) of Atlanta, TX; her children Jennifer Earnst (Mike) of Baytown, TX, Judy Mock (James) of Baskin, LA, Joyce Lawrence of Dunn, LA, and Ronald Lawrence (Dianne) of Monroe, LA; as well as son-in-law Ronald Mock, daughter-in-law Penny Lawrence, Cindy Hatten (Steve), Jody Pinckard, and Robert Michael Pinckard. Lenell's family is vast and full of love, including 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished her deeply.
Lenell received her education in Crowville and Baskin, LA, and was baptized on May 26, 1940. She attended the Methodist/Presbyterian church in Baskin for many years before joining First Baptist Church of Baskin, where she found joy in her Sunday school classes and worship services. She was also a dedicated member of the Baskin Women's Club, sharing her time and talents with others in her community.
Her passions included reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening. She found fulfillment in her work at the Franklin Parish Library, where she drove the bookmobile, spreading the joy of reading throughout the community. Lenell's commitment to education and literacy was evident in the impact she made on countless individuals.
In honor of her generous spirit, Lenell chose to donate herself to science upon her passing. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Baskin or the Franklin Parish Library, causes close to her heart.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and cherish the wonderful memories she shared with those she loved. Lenell's presence, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Forever in our hearts, her story lives on.
