Mr. Jimmy Campbell, age 74, of Fairdale, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday August 31, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on November 26, 1950, in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late James Campbell and Jessie (Chitwood) Campbell. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was kind and compassionate, touching the lives of everyone he met. Jimmy grew up with the passion to always do his best and treat others the way he wanted to be treated. Jimmy found peace when playing with his dogs or working with his hands. Whether it was fixing a fishing pole, putting together a toy for a child or figuring out what was wrong with a piece of heavy equipment and fixing it. He brought love, laughter, warmth and light to every moment he was here with us.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife Cindy, his daughters Patty Leslie and Angel Ferguson, grandson, Hunter James Campbell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Maria K. Campbell, daughter Jennie Lyn Campbell, son James "Jamie "Deward Campbell (Jessica), step-daughters MaLena Goodnight, MaDona Vaughn; 11 grandchildren James Leslie (Jessica), Brian Leslie, Joshua Campbell, Asha Goodnight, Savannah Goodnight, Joseph Goodnight, Mason Goodnight, Jiana Rivera, Kevin Ferguson, Dusty Ferguson, and Mason Miller, 5 great-grandchildren Madison "Maddie" Goodnight, Titan Grant, Gabrielle "Gabby" Leslie, William "Little Man" Leslie, Ryder Leslie, and his sister Betty Booze (Robert), along with other family and beloved friends that he included as his family.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway).
