Jimmy Dale Conrad, 78, of Parsons, TN, departed this life on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Savannah Nursing and Rehabilitation in Savannah, TN.

He was born August 30, 1947 in Decaturville, TN to the late Only "Red" Conrad and the late Helen Dickson Conrad.

After graduating from the last class of Parsons High School (1965), Jim attended Arkansas State University and then entered the United States Air Force in June 1966. His service included a tour of duty at DaNang, Vietnam with the 366TFW.

He was employed as a construction superintendent for TVA and Georgia Power for eight years. After returning home to Parsons, he opened and operated C & H Farm Home Service for 25 years. His favorite occupation was working on his farm, raising black angus cattle and beekeeping in his later years.

While in the Air Force, he married his wife of 57 years, Janet Legg Conrad, whom survives him. Other family members include their son, Robert Conrad, of Fulton, KY; their daughter, Amy (Dennis) McKenzie, of Decaturville; a brother, Charlie (Terry) Conrad, of Lexington; 4 Grandchildren, Ethan, Grant (Kailey), Paige (Colton) Mckenzie and Chestin Conrad; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Caroline and Charlotte McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Boatwright.

Active in the community, Jim served 4 years (1996-2000) on the Decatur County School Board, he was a member and deacon at Corinth Baptist Church, he was a member of the Gideons International where he spoke in many local churches, he was a past member of the Parsons Masonic Lodge #586.

His Funeral Service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church, Darden, TN, at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 23rd, with Bro. Don Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Military Rites observed.

Visitation is Monday 1 PM - 7 PM and Tuesday 10 AM until service at Corinth Baptist Church.
