It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. Jimmy Gainey. Jimmy passed away Nov. 6, while at Morrell Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 8 at 3:00 pm at Brown Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Donnie Faulkenbury will officiate. Burial will be in the Brown Springs Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm at the church on Saturday. Family will also meet at his nieces residence at 2227 Jordan Farm Road, Patrick, S.C.
Jimmy was born in Patrick, a son of the late Maxie and Kate Heustess Gainey. He was a member of Brown Springs Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter.
Surviving is one son, Ricky (Tina) Gainey, Hartsville; one sister, Patsy Dixon, Darlington; three grandchildren, Christian (Jonathan) Furco, Hartsville, Chelcie and Dalton Gainey, Hartsville; one great grandchild, Damon Furco, Hartsville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanore Barefoot Gainey.
