Jimmy Charles Grant, age 78, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
He was born in Glenwood on February 28, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents Houston Loyd Grant and Florine Nicholson Grant; his two brothers Harold Ray Grant and Gerald Joe Grant, and his sister Freda Bachelder.
He was retired from South Western Bell where he worked as a lineman. Climbing telephone poles earned him the CB handle "Wood Walker"
He enjoyed deer hunting and hanging out on the farm listening to music and visiting with friends and family.
He graduated from Glenwood High School.
He has survived by his daughter Stacy Christine Smith and her husband Johnny Ray Clay and two grandsons Chandler Justin Smith and Jacy Ray Clay all of Glenwood.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Grants Chapel.
Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Interment will be held at Grants Chapel Cemetery.
