Jimmy Dale Jones was born on January 27, 1950, to Grady and Emma Lee Jones. He went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2023. Jimmy grew up in Fort Necessity with his 6 brothers and two sisters. He loved listening to gospel music and drinking his coffee. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jimmy joins his parents, Grady and Emma Lee Jones; and his brothers, Aubrey Jones, Grady Jones, Joe Lee Jones, and Lee Roy Jones; and his sister, Aneta “Bobbie Nell” Bigelow.
Jimmy is survived by one brother, Odean Jones and wife Peggy, of Monroe, LA; one sister, Dottie Cartwright of Monroe, LA; sisters-in-law, Elaine Jones Smith of Monroe, LA, and Joy Jones of Choudrant, LA, Gracie Jones of Delhi, LA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Jones, Greg Jones, Chris Jones, Bradley Morrison, Mark Baker, and Rylan Woodward.
The family would like to give a special thank you to G.B. Cooley and Ouachita Nursing home for the care they gave to Jimmy.
Jimmy’s service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 19, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Danny Dallalio officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Oak Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
