Jimmy Alan Kekic

Jimmy Alan Kekic, 75 of Stuart, FL passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 11, 2023. He was born in Port Clinton, OH to Eli and Vivian Kekic, and graduated from Newark High School.
After graduation, Jimmy was drafted into the United States Army where he served during The Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star for his heroic actions during combat. Jimmy was honorably discharged and returned home to California to start a family.
Throughout the years, he lived in California, Nebraska, Arizona and Florida. He began a career in Law Enforcement with The East Bay Regional Parks, continued with The Lawrence Livermore Lab, and retired with The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department.
Jimmy was a member of The Eagles Club and The Moose Lodge, where he assisted with the implementation of the K-9 division for the Livermore PD. After retirement, Jimmy remained active with Veteran Affairs.
Jimmy will be remembered as a loving father who was always courageous and strong. While he did not have a lot of material things, he felt like the "richest man" because of his children and grandchildren whom he was extremely proud of. He is now resting in peace alongside his best friend, our Uncle Marty.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving family: his children, Laurell, David, Tina, Jerrit, Aaron, Tanya, and Kyle. His sister, Cherie and 19 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno, CA 94066 on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
