John truly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and building model airplanes.
He is survived by his daughters April Kekic of Sheffield Lake, Shannon (John) Kekic-Zgodzinski of Lorain, Crystal Kekic of Sheffield Lake; son-in-law Brendan O'Donnell of Henrietta Township; grandchildren Macalan Mitchell, Grayson Mitchell, Raegen O'Donnell, Brendan S. O'Donnell, Mathias Zgodzinski, Armani Arroyo, and Lycette Jackson; mother Marguerite Murphy of Chatham Township; brother Patrick (Elizabeth) Murphy of Columbus; sisters Kathleen Murphy of Lakewood and Ann (Adam) Eckhardt of Chatham Township; many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Juanita; daughter Jeanette O'Donnell; father Edwin Murphy; grandparents Lucius "Buz" and Josephine Hoffa.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment will be at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
