James "Jimmy" Arthur Leininger, 69, of Dolliver, Iowa, passed away on October 13, 2025, at his home in Dolliver. He was born on March 8, 1956, to Marvin and Doris Leininger in Estherville, Iowa.
On July 7, 1979, Jim was united in marriage to Kim Cooklin of Estherville. He was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Jimmy was known for his steady presences, quiet wisdom, and a deep sense of responsibility to those around him. He was the kind of person people counted on--- not for grand gestures, but for his unwavering support, kind heart, and the comfort of knowing he would always show up when it mattered. Friends and family remember his dry sense of humor, his deep love for the outdoors, and his ability to fix just about anything. Jimmy wasn't loud about his love, but it showed in everything he did.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, their two sons, Troy (Jennifer) and Joshua, all their grandchildren, Angel, Shelby, Cameron, Bethany, Brian, Wyatt, Kadence, Ethyn, Bradley, Athena, and great grandchild, Maleri (daughter of Shelby), his sister, Boots, (Norman), his brother, John (Julie), sister-in-law, Mary, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his twin brother, Jerry, his brothers, Dennis and Tommy, and his sisters, Carol, Rose Mary, and Penny.
Whether you knew him for a lifetime or a few moments, Jimmy left an impression. He was, simply put, a good man-- and that was enough to make a lasting impact. He will be deeply missed by many, remembered for his honestly, loyalty, and the deep love he held for his family.
