It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jimmy Wayne Marchman, who left this world on February 11, 2025, at Emory University Hospital. Born on January 10, 1968, he lived a full life of 57 years, marked by selflessness and love for those around him.
Jimmy was known to all as a man with the biggest heart in the world. He would give you the shirt off his back, always ready to help friends and strangers alike. His family was his pride and joy. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
His beloved partner, Carol Cross, survives him, along with his daughter, Valerie Priest (Joshua), his son, Eric Garlin, and his treasured grandchildren, Logan Priest and Benjamin Priest. Jimmy is also survived by his sister, Debbie Pigg, and his nephews, Christopher Bradford (Holly) and Bobby Bradford. His loyal dogs, Quinn and Sadie, were constant companions who brought him much joy.
A loving family member, friend, and more, Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Richard R. Marchman and Ruby Dell Lumley, and his brother, Richard D. Marchman. Alongside his close family, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends will miss his presence.
Jimmy's love for life included a fondness for cheeseburgers and a passion for cars, interests that brought him happiness throughout his life.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Fayette Depot Event Center, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and the impact he had on so many.
