Jimmy Olyn Miles, Jr., born on December 18, 1976, in Bad Windsheim, Germany, passed away on January 30, 2025. He was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose craftsmanship and warm spirit touched the lives of many.
Jimmy dedicated the majority of his life to his career as a carpenter, a testament to his exceptional skill and passion for his craft. His talent extended beyond woodworking; he delighted in working on cars and motorbikes in his free time, showcasing his boundless creativity and appreciation for mechanics.
Educated at Long Beach High School, Jimmy carried the values of hard work and dedication into everything he pursued. Those close to him knew him as someone who took great pride in his efforts, whether they were in his profession or in the simple tasks of everyday life.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jimmy Olyn Miles, Sr. and Karen Anne Prive. Jimmy leaves behind his cherished children: Alexia Orlando (Maverick), Brianna Cooper (Jeremy), Jada Rodgers (Jose de Jesus), and Emma Jolyn Faith Miles. His siblings, Sarah Bender (Kawakei) and Gregory Daniels (Mitzi), grieve his passing along with his precious grandchildren, Brayden Phillip McCorkle, Tobias Emerald Menoz, Beckett Gray Orlando, and Wrenley Marie Cooper. The family takes comfort in the memories shared with Jimmy and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and honor the remarkable life of Jimmy Olyn Miles, Jr., a man whose impact will be felt for years to come.
