Peggy Marie Bosma, 68, a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted community servant born on January 25, 1957, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She lived her life with a heart for God, full of kindness and a dedication to helping others. Peggy leaves an indelible mark on the lives she touched throughout her life.

With an associate’s degree in Interpreter Training Technology, Peggy committed her life to the service of the Deaf community, working as an American Sign Language Interpreter. Her passion for interpreting led her to many significant moments, including a notable achievement where she had the honor of interpreting for President Bush during his commencement address at MGCCC following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Her devotion earned her recognition for lifetime achievement in her work, as she tirelessly advocated for and supported the Deaf community on the Gulf Coast.

Peggy's love extended far beyond her career. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time at the beach, tending to her yard, and cherishing the moments spent with family and friends. A dedicated servant to her church, Harvest Church in Gulfport, Mississippi, she worked to serve others, touching hearts through her unwavering faith and compassion.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, David Bosma. Peggy was the proud mother of Chris and Michelle Tingle, and Brian and Autumn Tingle, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She was the cherished daughter of Monroe and Doris Mayfield, and a caring sister to Jim and Rachel Mayfield, Linda and Sonny Watts, and Lori and Randy Parkman. In addition to her immediate family, Peggy leaves behind seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends, notably her beloved church family, who were an integral part of her life's journey.

The visitation to celebrate Peggy's life will be held on July 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Harvest Church, located at 15523 Landon Road in Gulfport, Mississippi.

As we remember Peggy Marie Bosma, we reflect on a truly well-lived life. She fought the good fight; she finished her race and kept her faith. Now she wears a crown of righteousness, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering compassion. Peggy's spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
