Jimmy was born in Americus, Georgia to the late Sanford Lee Miller, Sr. and the late Annie Laurie Williams Miller. He was a member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon.
Jimmy was a respected member of the community, formerly actively involved with the Cordele Lions Club, the Crisp Regional Hospital Board, and the Cordele/Crisp Chamber of Commerce. He regularly attended the "Community Development Meeting." An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in nature and especially loved fishing.
Above all, Jimmy cherished his family. He was a proud "girl dad" and equally loving to the boys in his life. His warmth and humor will be especially remembered during the Christmas season, his favorite time of year. He never wanted the holiday decorations taken down, and if it were up to him, Christmas could last all year long.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Kathy Miller of Cordele; his children Amy Folds and her husband Shane, Jennifer Hays and her husband Jody, Rebecca Hall and her husband Lee all of Cordele. Also surviving are his sons Justin Wagnon and his wife Amber of Perry and Josh Wagnon of Oakridge, Tennessee. Jimmy's surviving siblings are Lee Miller, Jr and his wife Nancy of Warner Robins, and Pat Horne, and her husband Frank of Macon. Grandchildren surviving are Olivia Folds, Cooper Folds, Palmer Folds, Annie Laurie Hays, Brooks Hays, Wilder Hall, Woods Hall, Lyndon Wagnon, Ava Wagnon, and Amelia Wagnon. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive as well as his special girl Bella.
For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Blackshear Baptist Church, 650 Coney Road South, Cordele, GA 31015.
