Jimmy Owens, 84, of Oxford, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Melbourne, Arkansas.
He was born on May 12, 1938, in Brockwell, Arkansas, son of Raymond Maxwell and Ozzie Ollie (Yancey) Owens. Jimmy was united in marriage to Sue Youngblood on April 8, 1958, in Oxford and to this union four daughters were born. During his working years, Jimmy worked as a truck driver and cattle farmer. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Moss and husband Greg, Wanda McVey and husband Larry, Beverly Dockins and husband Timmy and Kim Hutchins and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Heather, Daniel, Tori, Colton (Toni), Kaitlyn (Kati) and Cheyenne (JM); great grandchildren, River, Caleb, Mesa, Makensie, Caden, Rylan, Kallie, Corben, Brennan, Aubree, Austin, Baylor and Anna and brother, Darrell Owens and wife Gunita.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Owens; parents, Ray and Ozzie Owens; brothers, Charles Owens and Dale Owens; sisters, Kathleen Hellums, Velma McVey, Mary Bray, Melba Hellums and Barbara Owens and granddaughter, Kailey Moss.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Carroll Prewett, Dave Sharp, Jack Yancey, James Wood and Gerald Wilson
Funeral services will be Friday, April 28, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Steve Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 PM.
