I am heartbroken to read about Jimmy Pantelidis passing!
Such a truly great husband and father! I was blessed to know Jimmy and his
beautiful family as I was his neighbor. I know his family must miss him terribly.
He will always be loved.

I met Jim last September at a NY Jets game while waiting in line for beer (go figure). He was standing in front of me, proudly wearing a customized #1 jersey with the name "CHAMP" on the back. When I asked him about it, he told me his story. Jim had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, had surgery, and had undergone treatment. After his last treatment, his friends gifted him that jersey. He was so proud. I was in disbelief, unknown to Jim, my dad had just been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer the week before. It seemed like meeting Jim was meant to be.
I exchanged contact information with Jim, and in the months that followed, he always reached out. Sometimes when I needed it most (It´s like he knew). Jim gave my family and me hope during our most dire time. His positive attitude was infectious, and his fight, until his last day, was inspirational, especially for my Dad.
To Jim's friends and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Jim spoke highly of all of you and loved you all so much. He was grateful for his amazing support system and fought so hard and so long for all of you.
To Jim, I will forever be grateful for our friendship. Although we only knew each other for seven months it dealt like a lifetime. I will carry on your legacy, your attitude, and your spirit forever. In my eyes, that #1 "Champ" jersey should be retired in the Ring of Honor. May you rest in peace, my friend.
Forever Grateful- Jeff Calabrese and family
