Patricia Goodwin

Patricia Ann (Patsy) Goodwin, age 88, of Astoria, New York, passed away peacefully at home on November 01, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born on February 7, 1937, to the late Mary Margaret Hamilton and James Francis Sharkey. She married her loving and devoted husband, Martin Joseph (Junie) Goodwin, July 23, 1959.
Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Junie, her brother, Thomas Sharkey, her sister, Margaret Donato, as well as many other dear relatives and friends. She is survived by her cherished daughters Catherine Dineen and her husband Joe, Tracy Dietz and her husband Andy, Noreen Wortman and her husband Fred, and Kelly Goodwin. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Taylor Dietz, Eric Wortman, Luke Wortman, and Jack Goodwin. Patsy is also survived by her nephews, Christian Donato and his wife Jennifer and their children, Emma, Logan, and Keira; and Danny Brady and his wife Alicia and their daughter Hailey. Family was most important to Patsy and the love she had for them and her many lifelong friends will be forever treasured.
She will be remembered for her lifelong passion for reading and, to the delight of her grandsons, Patsy became a die hard New York Mets fan over the past twenty years, while always holding a special place in her heart for the Boston Red Sox. Though Patsy is no longer with us, she was loved beyond words and her presence will remain in our hearts forever.
