Evelyn Castroverde

Evelyn Doronila Castroverde, age 86, of Long Island City, New York, passed away on November 8, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born and raised in the Philippines and graduated with BS in Food and Nutrition at the University of Santo Tomas. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1969 and worked as a dietitian with Coler Hospital for more than 40 years becoming a supervising dietitian until her retirement.
Evelyn ("Inday") is survived by her cherished sisters Cecilia Malanum, Cynthia Guevara and her husband Abe, and Mary Grace Castroverde. She is also survived by her cherished nephews and nieces Aures Sarlo and her husband Paul, Anthony Guevara, Albert Guevara, Theresa Malanum, Elizabeth Malanum, Roscela Castorverde, Jhumna Castroverde, Kitty Pollard and her husband Learon, Domino Castroverde, and Dion Castroverde and his wife Ale; as well as, her grand nephews and nieces Angelo Pabon, Alex Young, Aurora Goodridge, Alana Goodridge, and Aaliyah Pollard. Family was most important to Evelyn and the love she had for them and her many lifelong friends will forever be treasured.
Though Evelyn is no longer with us, she was loved beyond words and her presence will remain in our hearts forever.
